Sprints/Jumps Time Trials Results
We had a gorgeous day for time trials Saturday! Coaches will use the results from the timed races and field event competitions this weekend (as well as times from preseason practices and/or preseason meet results) to help determine our first varsity lineup.
- Time Trials Results (sprints & jumps)
- The sprints are hand timed, so please factor in that hand times are generally ~.2 faster than an electric timed result
Program Fee/Fundraising
- Why: There are currently 135 athletes out for track and field this spring. As a result, we have hired 8 assistant coaches. Our team receives $100 from your initial district athletic fee, and DCSD only provides 4 assistant coaching stipends for the spring track & field season. To ensure all of our athletes have proper coaching we are asking every family on the team to pay a small additional program fee to the Track & Field Booster Club to help us cover all of our costs for the season.
- Program Fee:
- $75 additional program fee is used to help compensate our assistant coaches, purchase equipment, cover meet entry fees for the 2026 spring season, and cover other costs that pop up throughout the season.
- Payment can be made through this Track & Field Booster Club Link
Parent Meet & Greet Night
Join us Tuesday night at Prost Brewing Co to meet your fellow parents and help raise money for our team!
- Tuesday 5:30-8pm (53 Centennial Boulevard, HR)
- Prost Menus
- Mention you are with MVHS Track & Field and we will receive a portion of the proceeds for all food and bev purchases! This is a family friendly spot with non-alcoholic options and a kids menu, so feel free to bring the kids along to grab dinner to help us raise more money!
Parent Tshirt Fundraiser
Our amazing parent volunteers have designed a special tshirt or sweatshirt that you can purchase to help raise funds for our team.

Spirit Wear/Gear Order - Last call
Anyone that would like to purchase any team gear (shirts/hoodies/ bags, hats, etc), the team store closes this Wednesday night. This will be the last opportunity to purchase team gear, but nothing is required.
- Team Store Link
- If you participated in preseason and placed an order last month, I will bring the gear to practice to hand out as soon as it arrives.
Time for New Shoes? (Distance)
Reminder that as a general rule of thumb, your shoes will need to be replaced every 300-500 miles. There's a lot of variation depending on the brand/model, but please be proactive in recognizing when you think you need new shoes. We know that a good pair of running shoes can be expensive, but it's better to be safe rather than put too many miles on them and risk injury. If you've been running in the same shoe since the start of Winter Conditioning it might be time for a new pair.
Academic Eligibility
- In order to be eligible for track and field this season athletes must be passing all classes.
- A failing grade in any class will result in an athlete losing eligibility.
- To return to eligibility, athletes must pick up a "gold card" from the athletic office and have it signed by your teacher once your grade has improved to passing (60% or above).
- Once signed by your teacher, "Gold Cards" must be returned to Mrs. Vitry in the athletic office. She will communicate with Coach Kunz once you are eligible to return to competition.
