III. 2024 Booster Club Donations
To ensure that we have adequate funding for the 2024 fall XC season the coaching staff is asking that each family on the team make a donation of $100 to our XC Booster club this fall. Our estimated cost to run the program this season is approximately an additional $7000 in addition to our collected registration fees. The additional $7000 covers such necessities as meet entry fees ($300-$500 per meet), the cost of additional assistant coaches ($3500), and our team licensed massage therapist (Coach Boele, $5000) to be at practice on Tuesday's from August through November.
If families are not able to donate $100, then we ask you to donate what you can. And of course if any would like to donate above $100 it is greatly appreciated.

We are excited to bring on Coach Katie as part of our team this year! The coaching staff is recommending Coach Katie for anyone who wants to take their running and mental performance to the next level. Improving your mental game is a skill set that can be learned and practiced. Coach Katie can help you get there!

VI. Cherry Creek Invitational
When: Saturday, September 7th (team arrival at 7:30 a.m. for all Vista Athlets)
Where: Cherry Creek High School/Cherry Creek State Park
Awards: Plaques for top two teams in each race, “Champion” t-shirts for the winners of each race, and “Top 10 Finisher” t-shirts for runners #2-10 of each race.
Arrival Time: All athletes on the team should be at the team tent no later than 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, regardless of race.
Race Bibs: Race bibs will be handed out by the coaching staff at 7:30 a.m.

Runners follow the cones and keep them to their right through the neighborhood so that it hits the right distance. On the map above, green is mile 1, red is mile 2, and blue is mile 3

Parking
Multiple lots open for parking. Use this map to help. The easiest place to park (and get out) will be the lot on the West of the school, between Yosemite and the stadium. The South lot (along Campus Drive) will be open for parking, but will close during the start of each race. Any parents parking here will need to be aware that they won’t be able to leave if there is a race in progress. This was the cause of frustration for a number of parents last year. Please let them know that we will hold them for runner safety!!
Bathrooms
All the bathrooms in the stadium will be open, but the bathrooms in the school will most likely be locked. Please direct your runners to not try and get into the school to use the bathrooms.
