Above are our TEAM goals for the 2016 season. Everyone should have printed these off, filled in your individual goals, and posted them somewhere at home where you will frequently see them as a reminder of what both the TEAM, and you as an individual, are working towards this season.
We are off to a decent start so far, however, this time of the summer always becomes the most challenging time of the year to stay consistent. With vacations, summer heat, getting up early, and 1,000 other potential excuses we could come up with it can be easy to loose focus. Right now is an excellent time to ask yourself, "Is the training that I am doing right now, reflective of our TEAM goals, and my individual goals?"
In other words, are you doing the things in training daily that need to be done, to end up where you want by the seasons end? Now is a time of the year where a lot of runners from across the country may decide that the work isn't worth it. That it is too hard, or the end result isn't worth the sacrifice of training in the off-season. For us, this is a time where we can excel! Keep your goals in mind, and keep training for the goals that are the most difficult to accomplish.
Average goals only require an average amount of commitment. But we are not looking for average on our TEAM this year! We are looking for an extraordinary commitment, because we are trying to accomplish extraordinary things! Keep the end in mind, and keep working hard towards our goals Vista Nation. The payoff in the end is worth it!
