Doherty Spartan Invitational
When: Friday
Where: Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs
Bus to the Meet: There are two busses to the meet.
Out-of-Class: Out of class at 10:45. The busses leave at 11:00. This is an early departure time, as this is the only time the district could arrange busses for us on Friday. 
Carpool Home: The school district is unable to get us home on Friday. We are asking all athletes to ride home with their parents, or to carpool home with a friend.

Fall Break Practices
Practices will be held at 8 a.m. during fall break. Please check the calendar for locations.

• Potluck Style. Please bring your assigned dish.  Food assignments will rotate each week.
• Please don’t show up empty handed
• Bring enough for 4 people
• Try to keep it healthy-ish
• Label your dishes and remind your athlete to bring all dishes home
• We have plenty of serving utensils - no need to send those
• Parents are welcome to stop in and check it out.

Columbine Dave Sanders Invitational Recap
Nice job on Friday! We won 5 of 6 races and were second in the 6th race. Pretty great showing for us! Moving forward, we have a few weeks now as an entire team to train and get ready for the League Championship. Keep our goals in mind, and keep up the effort!

Elementary School XC Meet
This Tuesday after practice is our elementary school XC meet. All Vista athletes will need to work the meet after the run on Tuesday. Here is what you need to know!

1. 5 Community service hours will be given
2. Go straight from practice to the Elementary Race on our campus XC loop to help. Meet on the track.
3. Wear your Vista Nation Neon Shirts
4. Be good ambassadors for our program!

Saturday Team Trip to Glenwood Springs
When: Saturday, September 29th
What: We are taking two busses to Glenwood Springs on Saturday. 
Cost: $35 to cover the cost of the transportation, entrance into the hot springs, and lunch. $35 checks made out to the MVHS XC Booster Club.
Transportation: There will be two busses leaving Vista at 6 a.m. on Saturday, and returning around 4 p.m.
Sign-Up: Athletes should have already registered for the trip. Here is the list of those that signed up. If you are planning on going, and do not see your name listed please let Coach Dalby know ASAP.

Rock Canyon Recap
Nice job stepping up into some bigger races this weekend! With sitting a large group of our older runners this week, our team stepped up nicely. 2nd in the JV boys race, and 1st in the JV girls race! Also a shoutout to Annie Nats for a top 15 finish in the girls varsity race!

What: Super fun team day trip to Gleenwood Springs to run and hangout at the hot springs afterwards. 
When: Saturday, September 29th. Buses leaving Vista at 6 a.m. We will return late afternoon that day. 
Cost: There will be a small fee to cover the cost of bussing and lunch.

Arapahoe Results
Another awesome job last weekend racing at Arapahoe! The day was highlighted by the boys and girls frosh/soph teams sweeping their races with crazy low scores of 66 points for the boys and 22 points for the girls.

Team Picture Day
Picture day is scheduled for Wednesday at 3 p.m. Please bring your uniform tops and bottoms with you to be in the picture. The coaches will not be checking out additional uniforms on Wednesday if athletes forget to bring their uniform. 

Liberty Bell
When: Saturday, September 9th
Where: Heritage HS
Arrival: There is not bus to this meet. All Vista athletes should be at Heritage HS by 8 a.m. on Saturday.
