March 2nd-8th: Meets Begin

3/1/2015

Picture
The 1st week of practice went as well as could be expected considering the weather. 125 student-athletes have joined the track and field team this spring, and we are working hard. I appreciate everyones efforts dealing with the less than ideal training situations. Whether it was having to be stuck inside and sprinting up and down the hallway to get in the work, or dealing with the snow and cold temps outside we have still made the most of it. Keep positive, warm weather will be here soon!

This week we are scheduled to host a JV meet at home on Friday, and then we are co-hosting the Continental League Relays on Saturday. Everything is still on at this point. If the weather changes our original plans, and causes a cancelation we will communicate that to you.

Goals for the 2015 Track and Field Season
We will spend some time on Monday going over these. I would like for every member of the TEAM to print our goals off for the season, and hang them up somewhere you will consistently see them. A mirror, your wall, locker, the fridge. Anywhere you will see it more than a few times a day. This will serve as a reminder as to what you and the TEAM are both trying to accomplish this year. Please remember to write in your individual goals for the season as well.

Home JV and League Relays Help and Community Service

Likewise, we will looking for athletes that are competing on Friday to help us out on Saturday at the League Relays. All athletes will be given community service hours for helping out.

Meet Entries for March 8th-14th
Each weeks meet entries will be posted here on the website, and on the homepage. With 125 athletes it takes some time to organize so please be patient with us. The coaching staff will have entries up by Tuesday night.
