Meet Recaps from Last Week
There were a lot of things for us to get excited about last week. As a team, we performed very well. At the JV meet team scores were not kept, but we did our best in some very adverse conditions. On Friday, our girls were meet champions at the Palmer Frosh/Soph meet, and the boys were 2nd. On Saturday, our girls finished 3rd, only a few points from second, and our guys 7th in a 20 team field at the Legend Track Clash. Current 5A State Rankings
In order to qualify for the Colorado State Track and Field Championships individuals and relays must achieve one of the top 18 performances in the state by the end of the regular season (May 9th). As of March 29th here are the current state 5A rankings.

Kansas Relays Update
If you have received an invite to attend the Kansas Relays trip please email Coach DalbyASAP to let him know you are attending. Checks for the trip should be made out to MVHS Track and Field in the amount of $300 and brought to Coach Dalby at practice.
Ponderosa Freshman/Sophomore Meet
When: Wednesday, April 8th starting at 2:45
Where: Sports Authority Stadium
Entries: We are allowed 3 entries per event
Out-of-Class and Transportation: Athletes will be excused from class at 1:15. The bus is leaving at 1:30. There is no return bus after the meet, please arrange a ride home after the meet.

Chaparral JV Track Meet
When: Thursday, April 9th starting at 3:30
Where: Chaparral High School
Entries: We are allowed unlimited entries.
Out-of-Class and Transportation: Athletes will be excused from class at 2:00. The bus is leaving at 2:15. There is no return bus after the meet, please arrange a ride home after the meet.

Pomona Varsity Invitational
When: Friday, April 10th and Saturday, April 11th
Where: JeffCo Stadium
Entries: We are allowed 3 entries per event
Out-of-Class and Transportation: We are out of class at 1:15 on Friday, the bus leaves at 1:30. The bus is coming back to Vista after the meet. We would like all athletes participating at Pomona to be on the bus both to and from the meet.
On Saturday, athletes are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the meet. Please be at the track by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
